Easter Projects

I was searching for a creative Easter project for my kids.  Found this idea on pinterest.  Loved it.  Kids had such a great time making these.  People who walking by would stop as see their projects.  Kids even donated them to our church.  I loved this project!

Hiking Family Field Trip

Weather is starting to warm up!  Time for a family field trip.  After church up in Red Feather Lakes, we took a nice hiking.  Kids loved it.  Thanks to my baby carrier, baby was passed out the whole time.  Was nice to have some good family time enjoying the outdoors.

Multiplication Unit

When teaching my kids multiplication with their curriculum for my girls I noticed how much they didn't know from going from public to homeschool.  I ended up making my own multiplication unit for my kids and have all of them learn together so they be to date.  It was a week worth unit.  Kids did a great job.

Mom's Birthday

So I turned 23, cough ok 31 lol.  Spent the day with my kids.  They made me some really cute cards.  Have been blessed with amazing kids :)

Homemade Baby Toy

What a fun project!  Found water bottles that I changed into baby toys.  Even the big kids loved them lol.  You can be so creative finding different items to put in each bottle.  Nice way to save money on toys!  Also it's been great taking one in the diaper bag and pulling it out when baby needed some entertainment.

Our Homeschool Name

After months trying to decided on our school name, we finally found one.  Our Homeschool name is One Nation Christian Academy.

Why do we want a school name?

Many people don't consider homeschool like a legit school. It is.  To us it was very important to have a name that represent us.
Also, its handing when applying for colleges or signing students up for special programs.

After I we decided on a name, I designed T-shirt for the kids which we love.  Our kids wear them on field trips, which is also great way to keep track of our kiddos.

Even us as parents have our own t-shirts.  There has been so many times people come up to us asking about our school when seeing our shirts.  It has brought up some amazing conversations with people.

Disney Infinity = Family Fun

We just started to check out the video game Disney Infinity which we have the 1.0 version.  Kids love it, I LOVE IT!  lol.  Fun for everyone.  It has replaced Minecraft for my kids.  Great motivation for my kids to get school work done!  As a reward when they are done with their school is to play the game!  We can't wait to check out 2.0 version in the future.

Career on HOLD!

I just had my last wedding!!  It's official my career is on hold!  After having a blooming career as a photographer for 6 years, I'm putting my career on hold for my kids.  I love my job and my passion is photography!  But life is so short, my kids are growing up so fast.  Being a photographer you work long hours, not just shooting but also editing.  There has been many times my kids would say " Do you have to work?"   I want to focus on just being their mother.  Before I know it they will be all grown up and on their own.  I can always go back to my career after that.  It felt so good to finish my last job.  Here are photos from my last wedding.

Dr. Suess Day!!

At our home school we had Dr. Suess Day!!  Each kid read a Dr. Suess book in front of all of us.  We watched The Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who!  Crafts, board game, Bingo, writing, and Cross Word.  Kids dressed up, who could look the craziest.

Valentine's Day!

We had our Valentine's Day Party!  With plenty of crafts, games, and activities.  I loved the BINGO! Kids made Valentine's Cards and gave them to friends/neighbors/family.

Animal Projects

One of our favorite school activities is doing presentation projects.  This is our 2nd time doing this project.  Each child picks one animal at the zoo they like to learn about and then does a presentation in front of all of us. We went to the library, kids wrote down facts.  After that we went to our community club house to work on their poster boards.  As an award they get a field trip to the zoo to see their animal!  Kids learned so much and so did I :)
